Description

UGC means user-generated content. Fans, vloggers and creators use songs as the soundtrack to their own videos, including YouTube Shorts. YouTube finds these videos by matching the audio with Content ID.

When Zen Music delivers a release for UGC, those videos can be claimed and monetised for the rights holder, so a song that is used in thousands of videos earns from each of them. Zen Music reports this income in the artist's royalty statement.
