Description

iTunes Match is an Apple service that scans a listener's own music library, such as old downloads and ripped CDs, and matches each song with the official recording in the Apple catalogue. The listener then plays the official version on all of their devices.

When Zen Music delivers a release to Apple, it can be matched in this way, so the official recording is played instead of a poor copy. Plays through the service are reported in the artist's royalty statement.
