Getting a first release ready for 240+ platforms

What audio is needed?

Deliver the highest-quality master available: 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV at minimum, 24-bit if possible. The audio should have no clipping and no MP3 sources.

What artwork is needed?

Artwork should be 3000×3000px, square and RGB, with no blurry logos, no store names and no URLs or social handles. Most stores reject those.

What metadata is needed?

Artist names should be spelled exactly the way they appear on other releases. Songwriter splits should be right the first time, and genres should be real ones. Every recording needs an ISRC and each song can carry an ISWC, so both should be checked. Zen Music delivers metadata in the DDEX format when it handles music distribution.

How much lead time does a release need?

A release needs at least three to four weeks before release day, so playlist editors can consider the track and every store has time to ingest it. Spotify and Apple Music both let artists pitch upcoming releases, and the Zen Music music marketing team can help plan the rollout.

What happens after release?

Once the release is live, content monetization claims the music on YouTube and TikTok, and the royalty statement shows what it earned. Artists across Southeast Asia who are ready to start can get in touch with Zen Music.
